That’s usually the easiest way to read the map.

Our second map option in this unit is data field. So that’s how many data fields we see at the top of the map screen, so we could go into here and we could set it from one large to small for small or dashboard and we could even do a custom one. So, let’s take a look at what some of these look like so first, let’s do one large we’ll go back to the map screen and we have one large and we could change that by hitting the menu button once not twice and then selecting change data fields.

It’s got most of the different zoom levels and we’re done so we’ll just leave that one on auto and then use your Waypoint text size right now. It’s small but I could have it show medium or large. I. Let’s sit down here. This is the e 2 X 10, and it is awesome this with this tool right here. I actually have an auction in here. Where I can it’s a backtrack option, so what I can do is I’ll go for a hike. I can turn this on use the track app in it. It’s satellite connected. It tells you how many satellites you’re connected to how many you can possibly connect to. It goes through a lot of stuff, but it has an option that I, love and I wish I had it a month or so ago, when I got myself lost, but if you haven’t heard of it, it’s really neat.

It’s got some great options. It’s got a compass waypoints, you mic a waypoint or something like that. I mean I’m, still actually learning it and I’ve owned it for two years now, but I can hit. Excuse me what a button that’s called backtrack right, I could hike down that trail, okay and if I feel like I, just got turned around or I say: okay, I’m done with my hike for the day, I want to get back to where I started, I hit backtrack and it literally I follow my tracks back to a waypoint that I mark with coordinates on on the e 2×10 talk about convenient.

This thing is perfect: I love it because also it’s not it’s. It’s it’s satellite activated, it’s not cell phone. You know. If you have no reception, you know where you may be hiking or camping, which is often the case. I know even where I go lot locally, there’s no reception anywhere and and this thing works no matter what and you hit backtrack, and you literally follow your footsteps.

It’s kept little tiny little footprints and you and you just follow it back. It’s a it’s a awesome, awesome tool. You guys for navigation a little bit. It cost a few bucks. Um I’d be I’m, trying to guess I, don’t remember exactly what I paid I know that it was over a hundred dollars, but it, but it’s well well worth it absolutely so. I’m gonna have some lunch and it’s funny story.

I get some chicken and mashed potatoes, I love mountain house, freeze-dried foods. I got my stove here. This is my bigger stove. I have a little pocket. Stove and I usually will use that when I’m hiking, but today I brought out the the big one with me, because I have some mashed potatoes and I’m gonna make it all in this right here instead of the bag, I think I’m, not sure, because then I got to do dishes so we’ll see about that.

But funny story: I forgot, my spoon, so I have to find I have to find a suitable piece of wood or a stick and and I have to make my own spoon. So shame on me right. Let’s see what else oh yeah I wanted to and I wanted to show you this rain fly. It is from equip it’s an equipment, um hammock rainfly, and this is my first time using it. 25 bucks at Walmart, I I, really I, like it already I’m, not sure I have a I have a hammock and I.

Don’t know if that would, if that’s gonna cover the whole thing, but but I mean I’m sure it will. It looks. It looks long enough, but you know I wouldn’t use that out in the rain or anything like that. If I was gonna set up a hammock and sleep in a hammock which I actually don’t I prefer tents, sleeping I do love a hammock, though, for relaxing on a day like this I have my hammock I’m thinking of setting it up and just run it.

You know from tree to tree and and just chill right there and I’m doing some I’m doing some other stuff out here today, too I’m kind of been kind of been using this as a little bit of a base camp and I’ve been kind of going down and around this area, 50 yards in the woods coming back and I’m, just kind of exploring this area right here. Just looking for woodland creatures and stuff like that and and and enjoying that, the scenery that I have here, that’s gonna be great for lunch.

It’s it rained early this morning, cut out of work, Sun came out, then it got really cloudy again and now the Sun came out again, but I brought my rain gear with me. So in case it does rain. If it starts pouring out, I’ve got the jacket and in the pants and I can’t say enough about this rain gear, guys it is awesome. It makes it so. I can I don’t care what the weather is.

Even though I love to hike in in bad weather, in the rain, I, love, hiking or in a blizzard camping in in heavy snow, is a real trick and I die. I won’t do it that often but hiking in in the snow or snowshoeing I’m, fairly new to snowshoe, actually a very new to the snowshoeing thing, but I enjoy it thoroughly a great convenience, especially up north, where you know you can have three four feet of snow and if you’re, following a ski mobile trail up in New Hampshire and you step off of it.

Thank you. You just dropped four feet into the snow and you really can’t move around without the snowshoes. This is pretty cool too. I want to show you guys this. This is the Stanley cook set, and it’s pretty awesome. This comes out here. Forgive me because I’m trying to do it, this is a neat set, especially I, really like the size of of the bowls that that come in here.

Look at this thing. Look at this bad Larry. This is a spatula spoon. It’s really neat and I have to admit I, don’t use it. That often, but the bowls not great two bowls perfect and then you’ve got these two lids here. So you can you know you can keep your stuff keep your stuff warm! You know. So you don’t have pine needles and such falling in it and I have a smaller Stanley I’m, not exactly sure what the word for it is it’s it’s it’s a it’s like a thermos like this, but it’s smaller and it’s easier to pack, but today, I wasn’t concerned really with with the weight of my beer or because you know I’m not doing 10 a 10 mile hike today, I’m just doing a day camp, so I wanted to show you that stuff, guys and I wanted to show you the DTX 10.
